Full Day Shoot Options
THE ESTATE DAY
Our premium full day with all the trimmings.
A typical Estate Day is as follows:
Meet at 9.30am at our shooting lodge, Birch Hall
Full cooked breakfast and coffee on arrival, a health and safety talk, gun instruction if necessary and draw numbers
Three drives in the morning. Set in the wonderful Essex countryside the drives will take place in woodland and open ground. After the second drive we have a light snack and refreshments.
Lunch: Delicious three course lunch with full silver service
Fourth drive: mixed pheasants and partridges
Fifth drive: very high pheasants to sort out the men from the boys
Tea and drinks and then home
Clients on a full Estate Day would expect to see a total of between 3,000 and 5,000 clays, this being equivalent to a 1,000 to 1,500 live bird day.
THE GUNS DAY
A full day’s excitement in the traditional style.
A typical Guns Day is as follows:
Meet at 9.30am at our shooting lodge, Birch Hall
Coffee and bacon rolls on arrival, a health and safety talk, gun instruction if necessary and draw numbers
Three drives in the morning. The drives will take place in woodland and open ground and give a mix of pheasants, partridge and grouse. After the second drive we have a light snack and refreshments.
Lunch: Delicious home cooked two course lunch
Fourth drive: no snoozing after lunch with a fast partridge drive
Fifth drive: very high pheasants
Tea and then home
Clients on a full Guns Day would expect to see a total of between 3,000 and 5,000 clays, this being equivalent to a 1,000 to 1,500 live bird day.
The Boundary Day
Absolute fun guaranteed on our most affordable full day.
A typical Boundary Day is as follows:
Meet at 9.30am at our shooting lodge, Birch Hall
A health and safety talk, gun instruction if necessary and draw numbers
Three drives in the morning. The drives will take place in woodland and open ground and give a mix of pheasants, partridge and grouse. After the second drive we have a light snack and refreshments.
Lunch: Gutsy ploughman’s picnic
Last two drives: a mix of fast partridge and some high pheasants
Tea and then home
Clients on a full Boundary Day would expect to see a total of between 2,000 and 3,000 clays, this being equivalent to a 650 to 1,000 live bird day.

Guns providing their own cartridges please ensure fibre wads only.
For those not providing their own cartridges, please note that cartridges are not included in the price stated above.
If required, instructors, loaders, guns and cartridges are all available at an extra cost for your simulated game day. Please contact us for further information.
Safety policy
It is important that we are made aware of novice or inexperienced guns, as they will require an instructor.
Any novice or inexperienced gun without an instructor will not be able to shoot.
We can supply instructors at an additional cost.
